Today was the last full work day at our job sites. My group finally- after we primed everything, cleaned the doors, painted and primed the ceiling, drywalled the walls, mudded, got to painted the walls bright green. After that, I showered and went to large group. Many of the kids sang and danced, then a family, that went through Hurricane Katrina talked all about their experience and what it was like for their faith. During family time, we talked about what makes a home. In conclusion, we decided that familiarity, love, and the people who surround us. Then they read a quote, "It's a funny thing coming home. Nothing changes. Everything looks the same, even smells the same. You realize what's changed is you." Tonight was the last family time too. Tomorrow, we are able to work for half a day, then have free time to go to the city. I'm really going to miss this, but I'm looking forward to going home and seeing my dad and my pets.
